Our Black Pottery is a traditional craft originating from the state of Manipur in northeastern India. This intricate art form has been handed down through generations within our tribal community. While we do not have written records, we believe that the tradition of Black Pottery has been preserved for over 500 to 600 generations or more. Black Pottery has been properly tested for ‘leachable lead and cadmium content’ in accordance with California Prop 65 regulations, which are recognized internationally. The Act prevents corporations from using harmful compounds such as lead in consumer items. Products have also been tested for microwave and dishwasher safety.
